THE first of three twilight race meetings scheduled at Turffontein this summer takes place at Phumelela’s flagship racing venue this Saturday.
Twilight racing offers a refreshing alternative to a standard afternoon fixture and Saturday’s nine-race card kicks off at 2.15pm with the ninth and last race due to start at 6.45pm.
Venues at Turffontein will open at 12.30pm to cater for those racing fans who want to arrive early in order to take in the excitement of the L’Omarins Queen’s Plate meeting at Kenilworth in Cape Town.
