The Grade 3 race is a handicap open to all horses and will carry a stake of R350,000.

Supplementary entries for the race close at 9am on Thursday 8 October. Weights and draws will be announced later that day with final acceptances on Monday 19 October.
The Algoa Cup is the topliner on the second day of a two-day racing festival at Fairview that kicks off on Friday 23 October. The R125,000 Racing Association Stakes, a Listed event for three-year-olds over 1600m, heads the programme on the first day of the festival, which will also feature the Betting World Algoa Cup Consolation.
